Vino Nobile di Montepulciano Riserva, Bossona, Cantine Dei, Tuscany 2013
Vino Nobile di Montepulciano is one of the top Tuscan red wines based on the Sangiovese grape variety. It comes from the vineyards that surround Montepulciano, a hill town that lies southeast of Siena. The ageing period for any Riserva is a minimum of 3 years of which at least 1 must be spent in oak barrels. This is a wine of great structure, elegance and balance. Characterized by a ruby red colour tending to garnet, it has intense and elegant aromas, with notes of violet and ripe cherries. In the mouth, it is velvety, with firm but soft tannins and a long and deep finish. Ideal with fine red meat cuts and roasts.
